In case you missed the news, the Pad 5 is equipped with an 11-inch display that has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 alongside a 120HZ refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 together with 6GB of RAM, the display also supports Xiaomi Smart Pen although the availability and pricing of this stylus in Malaysia will only be announced at a later date. The Pad 5 is also equipped with a 13MP camera on its back while there is another 8MP camera on its front. Xiaomi has also equipped its new tablet with four stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos surround sound technology. Completing its general specifications is an 8720mAh battery that Xiaomi said can provide up to 16+ hours of video playback. For Malaysia, each Pad 5 is accompanied by a 22.5W charger as opposed to the 33W version that the variant in China would receive and do also note that the launch model in Malaysia is the Wi-Fi variant.
Price-wise, the Pad 5 with 128GB goes for RM1,399 while the 256GB version will be available for RM1,599. Available from 24 September onwards, the Pad 5 128GB will be offered for RM1,299 exclusively through Xiaomi’s store on Lazada at 12:00 AM tonight, while stocks last.
