Let’s start things off slow with the minimum requirements, which Ubisoft says will run the game in 1080p 30fps on low graphics. You’ll need at least an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-4460 processor. For graphics cards, it’s at least an AMD Radeon R9 380 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960. Then we get to the recommended specs to run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on high graphics preset, 1080p 30fps. This asks for an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or an Intel Core i7-4790, and an AMD Radeon RX 570 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. But if you’re like us, you’d be thinking “no way 30fps is ‘recommended’”.
So let’s get to what Ubisoft labels as High performance. As before, graphics presets are high, while running the game at 1080p and 60fps. But this requires an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 or an Intel Core i7-6700 processor. Then for your graphics card, you’ll need an AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Then there are two more performance tiers for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that Ubisoft calls Enthusiast and Ultra. For those you’ll need an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT or an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080. These two tiers will also need 16GB of dual-channel RAM, as opposed to 8GB for High and below. You’ll have to have pretty updated parts of your PC to run this game smoothly, to say the least. And even for 1080p 60fps, which is the standard you’d run on any game, the barrier of entry is pretty high. (Source: Ubisoft)
