The highlight here is naturally the U Postpaid 98 plan. To start, this plan offers a whopping 1TB of monthly high-speed data quota per month for RM98. As this is also being marketed as the “unbeatable family option”, this plan can also be shared with up to six other family members. This is added via a UFamilyShare line, though adding one will cost RM38 per additional line. Signups for the U Postpaid 98 will also be eligible for what the telco calls the U PayLater. This allows you to get a smartphone at a monthly installment to go with your postpaid plan.
Following that, there’s the U Postpaid 68 plan. Serving as the middle ground between the U Postpaid 98 and 38 plans, this will get you 100GB a month for RM68. While this plan is not eligible for the U PayLater subscription, you’ll get access to the U SaveMore device bundle instead, which allows you to purchase selected smartphones at a discount. Both of these plans will also come with 15GB of roaming data for 63 destinations. Alongside the roaming data is the ability to take calls at no additional cost while in any of the aforementioned 63 locations. This is the complete list that U Mobile has provided us:
These two new plans will also provide unlimited calls every month, just as the U Postpaid 38 does. Although according to the new plans’ Q&A page, like the U Postpaid 38 plan, both the U Postpaid 68 and U Postpaid 98 plans have a separate 5GB hotspot allocation. Which diminishes the appeal of the 1TB monthly quota of the latter. With the introduction of these new plans, U Mobile is discontinuing its previous plans, though users of those plans can continue using them without issue. You can find out more by visiting the official page for these two new plans.
