The state government said that the initiative is intended to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as micro businesses in Selangor to embrace digitalisation, especially during these trying times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It added that approximately 10,000 of these businesses will be benefited through the voucher campaign. The government is encouraging registered Selangor merchants to participate in the campaign, which is held from 26 October and 26 November 2020. Those interested can sign up for free by visiting the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) website with the following URL: https://www.sitec.com.my/selangorebazar/
Participation is also open to existing eCommerce merchants from Shopee and Lazada, as well as prospective traditional merchants who wish to start selling their products online. Additionally, both shopping platforms will be providing free training for the participating merchants to improve their marketing skills and market update. As for the Selangor E-Bazar 11.11 Mega Sales, consumers will be able to enjoy attractive discounts from Shopee and Lazada with subsidised vouchers from the Selangor state government. Those interested to find out more on the initiative and promotion are encouraged to check out the E-Bazar’s special microsites on both platforms. (Source: Selangor E-Bazar [Lazada] [Shopee])
