The preorder period for the Odyssey G9 begins today and will conclude on 5 July. And just like the offer for the Odyssey G7 monitors, Samsung is also bundling the monitor with a HW-T650 soundbar worth RM1499. Bear in mind that this soundbar is a tier higher than the soundbars Samsung is offering with the Odyssey G7; instead of a 2.1 channel setup, the HW-T650 features a 3.1-channel setup with 3D Surround Sound.
Specs-wise, the Odyssey G9 comes in one display size, 49-inch, and has an aspect ratio of 32:9. Due to its unique aspect ratio, its native resolution is rated at 5120 x 1440p (DQHD), while the panel is a Samsung’s QLED layer. Additionally, the monitor features a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (grey-to-grey), supports HDR10+, and is NVIDIA G-Sync compatible. Price-wise, the Samsung Odyssey G9 retails at an SRP of RM6199.
