For starters, the gaming monitor has appeared on Samsung Malaysia’s website recently. In addition to that, we also noticed that Samsung Malaysia has posted a teaser video for the Odyssey Neo G9 on its YouTube channel. That being said, you don’t really have to wait for the actual full-length clip to appear there though as it was already published on Samsung Global’s YouTube channel in July: At a glance, the Odyssey Neo G9 looked rather identical to Odyssey G9. After all, both of them feature a 49-inch VA panel with 1000R screen curvature, 32:9 aspect ratio, native resolution of 5120 x 1440, and 240Hz refresh rate. However, Samsung has utilised Quantum Mini LED technology for the new Odyssey Neo G9 that provides it with a higher number of dimming zones at 2,048 which allows the monitor to deliver richer images. The VED Quantum HDR 2000 certified monitor is also equipped with HDMI 2.1 port while the circular lighting on its centre back part can now match the colour of the content that is being displayed on the monitor through a feature called Core Sync.
We have since reached out to Samsung Malaysia to obtain further information regarding Odyssey Neo G9’s arrival in our market but have yet to receive a reply from the company at the time this article was published. Then again, given the signs that we have noted above, seems that it is only a matter of time before Odyssey Neo G9 make its official debut in Malaysia.
