That being said, not all discounts are equal. The 5G model, being the pricier one, gets the bigger price cut, going from RM2999 to RM2499. As for the LTE model, this is currently going from RM2299 to RM1999. There are two notable differences to note. One is that the 5G model comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, while the LTE version has the company’s own Exynos 990 chipset. Similarly, the storage capacity of the former is at 256GB while the latter has 128GB instead.
Beyond those differences, and their wireless tech, both variants of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE are generally the same device. Both have the same 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 4500mAh battery, a 12MP triple camera setup at the back, and a 32MP front-facing camera.
As mentioned, both devices have their prices slashed temporarily, until 1 August. That being said, Samsung Malaysia’s website lists the Galaxy S20 FE LTE as “coming soon” rather than being already available. Most likely this simply denotes that the device is temporarily out of stock. But if you’re optimistic enough, it could mean that said model is coming in its Snapdragon iteration.
