To start things off, the F2 Pro features a notchless 6.67-inch display with HDR10 Plus and a screen-to-body ratio of 92.7 percent. Additionally, its screen sports 180Hz touch sampling rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Rather than notches or punch-hole cutouts, the handset instead went with a pop-up selfie camera module.
The new POCO smartphone is equipped with a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 865 SoC, up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS3.1 storage of up to 256GB. Powering the phone is a 4,700mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, which the company claimed could fully charge the device within 63 minutes. The F2 Pro also features POCO’s LiquidCool Technology 2.0 system to keep its temperature in check, especially during intense gaming.
On the phone’s back is a circular camera island that houses its quad-camera setup which consists of a 64MP Sony IMX686 main shooter, 13MP 123-degree ultra-wide angle, 5MP telemacro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It is capable of recording videos of up to 8K resolution as well. Housed in the POCO F2 Pro’s pop-up camera module is a 20MP shooter with slow motion selfie capability.
Besides that, the smartphone also features an IR Blaster, NFC and Bluetooth support, WiFi 6 connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Finally, the phone runs on the POCO Launcher 2.0 which is based on Android 10. The company added that the Launcher is also available on Google Play as a standalone download for those not on POCO devices.
The POCO F2 Pro is available globally starting today and is offered in four colours: Cyber Gray, Neon Blue, Phantom White, and Electric Purple. The new device is priced at EUR499 (~RM2,345) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and EUR599 (~RM2,820) for the 8GB + 256GB. Its availability in Malaysia has not been announced just yet, but it is very likely that a local launch might not be far off. (Source: POCO [1] [2])
