The deactivation of Group Facetime has since been reflected on Apple’s system status website. Over there, FaceTime is shown to have an ongoing issue since 11:16 AM Malaysian time with a specific notice that said Group FaceTime has been temporarily suspended. In terms of customers experience, there are no changes to FaceTime UI itself at the moment. Users can still see and have the option to add another number to their FaceTime call although they will not able to actually include the additional number to the call....

Bloomberg reports that Apple is working on a device that will turn its iPad tablets into a smart hub and speaker. The idea is to have a smart home device that is placed on, say, a kitchen counter or at a nightstand. Previously, the news outlet noted that the company may be working a standalone product that does just that. But now, it’s possible that Apple is aiming to also make a dock of sorts that allows its iPad tablets to fill that role....

Specifically, all eight apps were created and released on the Android platform by two China-based companies – Cheetah Mobile and Kika Tech. Of the eight, seven of the apps belong to the former, while the last app was created by the latter. According to BuzzFeed News, the discovery was made by app analytics firm Kochava, who discovered that both companies had abuse app permissions in order to monitor new downloads....

TV viewership has increased by 43 percent and daily time spent rose 30 percent since the start of MCO, according to the company. News channels including its own Astro Awani channel registered a 71 percent rise in viewership, while Awani’s website and app registered a 15 percent and 13 percent increase in unique visitors respectively. By now, I have spent a fair amount of time with the Flow X13, putting it through its pace via the usual benchmarks, as well as using it as my daily driver, all to better understand the inner workings of this laptop. As a change of pace, I’ll be structuring this review a little different from my usual template, seeing how there is a fair bit I would like to speak about it....

As a start, the GX701 features a thin bezel, 17.3-inch Full HD display. Fitted in the 15.6-inch notebook chassis. The three-phase project, which began in June last year, is aimed at linking the real-time retail payment systems of RPP / DuitNow in Malaysia and PromptPay in Thailand. So far, the first phase is complete, allowing consumers in Thailand to use their mobile payment apps to scan DuitNow QR codes to pay merchants in Malaysia including for online cross-border e-commerce transactions. Under phase two, expected to complete in the last quarter of this year, consumers in Malaysia will similarly be able to use their mobile payment apps to scan Thai QR codes to pay merchants in Thailand....

Earlier this week, three new apps have been rolled out to Astro Ultra Box including beIN Sports Connect, iQIYI, and TVBAnywhere+. This basically burned Film Social Media to the ground, as filmmakers and fans alike shared their thoughts on Scorsese’s opinion. Some, like Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather) agreed with Scorsese. Coppola even went on to call these films “despicable.” Others, like James Gunn were heartbroken by Scorsese’s comments. One big-timer in the industry who very much disagreed with Scorsese (and Coppola’s) criticisms is Bob Iger, CEO of the Walt Disney Company (the company that owns Marvel Studios)....

The DLC campaign is titled Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot and according to the synopsis, the DLC’s theme revolves around a casino heist; as per the DLC’s title, the casino is called the Handsome Jackpot. Originally a dream project of Moxxi’s, Handsome Jack spitefully stole the deed and rights to the casino from her. When the two characters decided to split up. Unfortunately, the casino went into lockdown immediately after the death of Handsome Jack, leaving the unfortunate souls who were inside at the time both trapped and to their own devices....

So, it brings me nothing but joy to report that the film has smashed it at the North American box office in its first weekend of release. The Invisible Man grossed $US 29 million in North America and $US 20.2 million outside of North America for a $US 49.2 million global cume. There are a number of things to keep in mind. 1) The film has a production budget of merely $US 7 million and 2) It hasn’t been released wide outside of North America (in Malaysia for instance, the film received a limited release this past weekend to build hype ahead of its official launch)....

Per THR: Marvel is moving the action from the 1990s to the present day with scribe Megan McDonnell. A sequel to Marvel’s billion-dollar-grossing Captain Marvel is officially in the works. The company has tapped rising scribe Megan McDonnell, a staff writer on the Marvel-based series WandaVision, to pen a script for a follow-up to the 2019 pic that starred Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson. McDonnell is in final negotiations to seal her deal....
