Specs-wise, each earbud of the OnePlus Buds houses a relatively large 13.4mm dynamic driver with a frequency response range between 20Hz and 20KHz. Additionally, driver sensitivity is rated at 97 dB ± 3dB at 1 KHz. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.0, but unsurprisingly, it also supports Fair Pair. Enabling it to be instantly connected to a corresponding OnePlus smartphone. As for supported codecs, the OnePlus Buds support AAC and SBC, but not Qualcomm’s aptX.
In terms of battery life, OnePlus says that its Buds are capable of seven hours of continuous playback on a full charge, while its accompanying charging case carries an additional 23 hours of power. Bringing the total playback time to 30 hours. Charging the case simply requires a USB-C connection to a power source and surprisingly supports fast-charging. On another note, OnePlus says that 10 minutes of charging the Buds in its casing will give users up to 10 hours of additional playback. The OnePlus Buds are priced at US$79 (~RM336). At the time of writing, there is still no local availability or pricing for the earbuds. (Source: OnePlus)
