Known internally as Windows Lite, the OS is apparently being built using Composable Shell (C-Shell) and Windows Core OS. The new kernel is a more modular version of Windows 10, which parts of it is already in use in the Hololens 2. We should be expecting a familiar interface for Windows Lite, with similarities with Surface Hub shell and Windows Phone Continuum. However, the release date of the OS is still not yet known at the moment. That being said, there is one upcoming event that could serve as the perfect place to introduce Windows Lite. That would be Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference which will take place in Seattle this coming May. So, stay tuned. (Source: The Verge)
