Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said that he has approached the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Corporation, the Cooperative Institute of Malaysia, and the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia to research on the implementation of the application. The minister also boldly claimed that local consumers will opt for Online Market over its aforementioned competitors when it is launched.

However, he did not elaborate on the expected benefits offered by Online Market to Malaysian consumers. Commenting further, he added that he is quite confident that the new platform will be one of the largest online sales movements in the country.
