Just in case you missed it, Apple unveiled the new Studio Display alongside the Mac Studio, as well as the 2022 iterations of the iPhone SE and iPad Air earlier today during its Peek Performance live stream. The monitor features a 27-inch 5L Retina display with a choice of either standard or nano-texture glass coatings, a 12MP ultra-wide front-facing camera with Centre Stage tracking, a six-speaker system with force-cancelling woofers, Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support, and a three-mic array for calls. Also onboard are three USB-C ports for data transfers and peripheral connectivity, as well as a single Thunderbolt 3 equipped USB-C port with 96W host charging capability. The Studio Display is compatible with two different first-party display stands, or a VESA mount adapter if you wish to attach it to third-party arms or stands. All three options are sold separately. For the Malaysian market, the new monitor is priced at RM 6,999 for the standard glass option, and RM 8,299 for the nano-texture glass version – both of which come with either the standard tilt-adjustable display stand or a VESA mount adapter. Bundling either Studio Display variants with the tilt/height-adjustable stand will cost an extra RM 1,600, therefore you’re looking at a total of RM 8,599 and RM 9,899 respectively.
