The report claims a number of things relating to the upcoming LEGO Atari 2600 set. One is that the set will come in 2532 pieces, which is pretty close to the 2646 of the LEGO NES. It will also come with cartridges for three games, Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede. These can reportedly be converted into small vignettes of said games. A section of the roof of the console can also be removed to reveal a poster of sorts involving the console itself. An official reveal for the LEGO Atari 2600 could happen as soon as next week, according to the report. Which is probably when we will actually get to see what a bricky rendition of the console will look like. Following that, the set is reportedly scheduled for release in August, with a price of EUR239.99 (~RM1079.) Which isn’t too far off from the price of the LEGO NES. Based on this, chances are the set will be priced similarly to when it makes it to our shores too. Considering the number of pieces that comes with the LEGO Atari 2600 set, as well as its price, it is only natural that this set would be something meant more for adults. It’s pretty much the same story with the LEGO NES set, as well as the Optimus Prime set as well as the upcoming Bowser set. But while that last one was officially announced earlier this month, it is set to be released much later, in October. Which is a little strange considering the Atari 2600 will only be announced next week but see a release next month. (Source: PROMOBRICKS via VGC)
