The incentive is described in the company’s Preferential Policy of the AppGallery Service Agreement. According to Huawei, the incentive is split into two periods; the first 12 months will have developers earning 100 percent of the revenue generated by non-gaming apps, and 85 percent for games. The second year, they’ll earn 85 percent for both app and games, while 95 percent is offered if the application is educational based.
After the incentive period ends, standard rates will be applied where contributors will receive 70 percent, while Huawei will keep 30 percent of the revenue generated. It’s also worth noting that this policy only applies to app developers who are based outside of China.
