ZDNet reports that Huawei’s consumer business brought in RMB349 billion (~RM212 billion) for the company. On the other hand, its telco equipment sale amounted to RMB294 billion (~RM179 billion). The company’s enterprise services contributed RMB74 billion (~RM45 billion), taking the total revenue to RMB721 billion (~RM438 billion).
Unsurprisingly, over half of their sales were in China, with the number sitting at RMB372 billion (~RM226 billion). The second largest region in terms of sales for the company was Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which brought the company RMB204 billion (~RM124 billion). This is followed by the Asia Pacific and Americas, which generated RMB82 billion (~RM50 billion) and RMB48 billion (~RM29 billion), respectively. Incidentally, Huawei also happens to be the company with the most patent filings. As of December 2018, the brand has been granted 87800 patents. Ironically, 11150 of them also happens to be registered in the US, where the company is being pushed out of. (Source: ZDNet)
