It’s as straightforward as it sounds. The feature will show up as a popup menu, and you search for the tab you want from there. This will be no doubt useful to anyone who has experience with using the Google Chrome browser and inevitably end up with way too many tabs.
The existence of the feature was first spotted by Techtsp in the source code for upcoming Chrome features. Chrome OS devices will be the first to get it, with the other devices getting it later. Naturally, when the feature will actually be ready for testing, it will go to the Google Chrome Canary beta browser first. Of course, don’t be holding your breath for this feature to be out anytime soon. While the code for the Tab Search feature has been found, there’s no indication as to when it will be actually tested just yet. And then there’s waiting for it to actually be available on all devices. After all they will only be getting the feature after Chrome OS machines. (Source: Techtsp via TechRadar)
