While Celcom’s name has yet to appear in the official list of telcos that support the cellular feature on Apple Watch, the company did mention that the variant that they will offer to customers is the LTE model. The built-in cellular feature provides Apple Watch with additional capabilities including on-watch support for phone calls and messaging as well as Apple Music streaming.
However, the telco didn’t provide further information whether there are specific criteria that customers need to meet before they are able to utilize the cellular feature on Apple Watch through Celcom network. As per our previous report, Digi which is the first telco to officially support Apple Watch’s cellular feature in Malaysia has a list of requirements that customers need to fulfil before they can activate its AirSIM Number Share service for Apple Watch. We have indeed reached out to Celcom for further details but the telco’s representative stated that it has no additional information to release at this moment. So, stay tuned for more on 6 December but before that, do check out our quick guide here on how to activate the LTE feature on Apple Watch in Malaysia.
