While no official explanation was given by the Chinese console maker, it has been speculated that it is doing so in order to line up its product with AMD’s next-generation Rembrandt APU, otherwise known as the Ryzen 6000 series. For the uninitiated, Ayaneo first came on to the scene last year with the launch of the Aya Neo Founder, a handheld gaming console sporting a 7-inch IPS display and power by an AMD Ryzen 4500U APU. Getting back to the brand’s next console, another reason for it delaying the launch date is competition; as it stands, its direct competition is the Steam Deck, which Valve first revealed back July this year. Specs-wise, the form factor comes with a 7-inch 16:10 touch display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. What really sets it apart from its rivals, though, is the custom AMD SoC that consists of a Zen 2-based CPU, and RDNA2 GPU with eight compute units.
For certain reasons, the Ayaneo event we planned on 28 Dec is rescheduled to 21:30, 4 Jan 2022 EST. We apologize for the wait and invite you to join us on YouTube (https://t.co/5hnKlb02be), and meet the next generation gaming handheld – Ayaneo NEXT. In any case, we’ll just to wait until next month to hear more about the handheld console. (Source: Videocardz)
