In terms of specification, the VG279QM sports a 27-inch IPS panel with a maximum resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080). Other than that, the monitor appears to come loaded with several imaging features too. Beside the super-fast 280Hz refresh rate, the monitor is also equipped with a 1ms response time (grey-to-grey), and is VESA certified for HDR400. Additionally, it looks like the monitor will feature adaptive sync, meaning that it’s also an NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible monitor. If that wasn’t enough, ASUS has also thrown its ELMB-Sync technology inside for good measure.
Ports-wise, you’re looking at a combination of one DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0 ports. And yes, Aura RGB lighting is built-in to the monitor. The VG279QM reportedly only seems to be available in Taiwan via Taobao at current. We reached out to ASUS Malaysia to find out when the monitor would make its way to our shores. To our surprise, the brand told us that the monitor would be arriving sometime in January 2020, but were unable to provide the official pricing for it. (Source: Taobao via Techspot)
