Specs-wise, the AiMesh AX6100 routers run on the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless technology. Specifically, the new Wi-Fi standard are capable of operating on a 160MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM, enabling it to run at speeds of up to 6100MB/s. In terms of design, the new AiMesh AX6100 routers feature a tri-band design. As explained by ASUS, one band is dedicated to router communication, while the remaining two bands are dedicated to connected devices to ensure that they have access to a modem’s maximum speed. As these routers are also using Mesh technology, consumers will be able to enjoy ultrafast Wi-Fi speeds without any interruptions or the occasional drop in Wi-Fi strength. In relation to the last point, both the AiMesh AX6100 routers feature a combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, providing up to four times better network efficiency. ASUS has also equipped the AiMesh AX6100 routers with a new piece of technology, known simply as Target Wake Time (TWT). To put it simply, TWT enables the routers to schedule transmissions battery-powered devices. Allowing said devices to preserve their battery life for longer periods of time. At the time of writing, ASUS Malaysia did not specify local availability or pricing for the AiMesh AX6100 Wi-Fi routers. (Source TechPowerUp, Guru3D)
