According to its announcement, the new user interface and features are meant to improve the experience of Astro GO. For example, the app now comes with a search engine that provides recommendations and popularity-based results as well as the ability to search by using Cast or Director as keywords.
Additionally, Astro has also stated that the navigation on Astro GO is now easier to utilize through the use of categorization such as Catch Up for the latest series and Boxsets for binge-worthy contents alongside the usual Movies, Kids, and Sports categories. Users can also see all the contents that their accounts are entitled to access directly on the Astro GO’s Home screen. Don’t worry if you haven’t seen the update on your apps though, as Astro has stated that the updated UI and features are being released to users in stages starting from today onwards. Nevertheless, you can always download the latest version of Astro GO app from Google Play and Apple iOS App Store. For those who are not sure about this app and the other streaming app from Astro called NJOI Now, the major difference between them is that Astro GO is exclusive to Astro subscribers. NJOI Now on another hand can be accessed by anyone, even if you don’t subscribe to Astro or own an NJOI box. (Source: Astro.)
