Cook made the announcement in a two-minute video posted via his official Twitter account. In effect, Apple has roped in its design, engineering, operations, and packaging teams. Making them work with suppliers to design said face shields for the masses.
— Tim Cook (@tim_cook) April 5, 2020 As per Cook’s description, the face shields will be packed flat in quantities of 100 units per box. With each shield easily assembled in under two minutes and can be adjusted to fit different head sizes. On that note, there’s also a small scale effort taking place locally, where you can help the cause by donating to our frontliners and affected people. Every little bit helps, especially for people that are severely affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO). At the time of writing, the MCO will officially be lifted in another eight days, provided that the government doesn’t announce another extension of the order. Till then, do stay safe, stay home, and maintain social distancing if you absolutely have to step out. (Source: Tim Cook via Twitter // Image: Getty Images)
