Called “Gold Edition”, the chosen products are the Ryzen 7 2700X processor and Radeon VII graphics cards. Instead of their normal packaging, the Gold Edition versions of these PC components are shipped with AMD50-themed boxes.
From a previous leak, we are already aware that the Ryzen 7 2700X Gold Edition processor is laser-etched with AMD50 logo and the signature of AMD’s CEO, Dr Lisa Su on its heat spreader. Meanwhile, the Radeon VII Gold Edition graphics card also comes with a red-coloured shroud instead of the usual silver colourway. In terms of performance, they are no different from the standard Ryzen 7 2700X processor and Radeon VII graphics card that you can found on stores today. However, customers that purchase these Gold Edition releases will receive an AMD50 sticker signed by Dr Lisa and a coupon to redeem AMD 50th Anniversary t-shirt.
Additionally, they are also able to redeem World War Z and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Gold Edition for free. However, we are still waiting for further details from AMD regarding the availability of Ryzen 7 2700X and Radeon VII Gold Edition in Malaysia. So, stay tuned.
