As previously speculated, the supposed renders shows that the iPhone SE2 to sport a design similar to the iPhone 8. OnLeaks mentions that the phone measures roughly around 138.5 x 67.4 x 7.8mm – just slightly thicker than the original Apple 2017 flagship.
Other design similarities include the phone’s 4.7-inch display, complete with thick bezels on its top and bottom which houses a selfie camera and physical Home button respectively. While the alleged iPhone SE2’s camera placement on its rear may appear the same as the iPhone 8, its back cover instead features frosted glass rather than a glossy finish.
According to OnLeaks, the phone is allegedly equipped with a next-gen A13 Bionic processor, features Touch ID support, improved battery life, and an “advanced single-lens camera.” Other than that, the renders also reveals that the iPhone SE2 to feature a lock button on its right, volume rockers to its left, and speaker grilles, as well as a Lightning port on the bottom. Sadly, just like the 2017 flagship, it seems that the SE2 will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Being a tribute to the iPhone 8, the SE2’s lack of an all-screen display and single rear camera may turn some users away. But for those looking for a bit of nostalgia with a few slight enhancements, losing a couple of modern quality-of-life features shouldn’t be much of a problem. As per usual, none of the information, images and videos from this leak are official or confirmed by Apple, so do take it with a grain of salt. (Source: OnLeaks via iGeeksBlog.)
