The promotion can be used through both AirAsia’s website and super app, valid from now until 25 September. Of course, you can’t travel right away even if you manage to get one of the free seats as the travel period for the tickets is for between 1 January 2023 to 28 October 2023, so some planning ahead is required to take advantage of the offer. The free seats are available for domestic flights to local destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, and any other Malaysian destination that the carrier serves. You could also get free international flights to international destinations within the ASEAN region, such as Krabi, Phu Quoc, and Singapore. Of course, the “free” seats are not inclusive of fees and surcharges, with domestic flights actually costing at least RM23 all-in while international flights start from RM54. If you want to go a bit further than southeast Asia, the company’s long-haul arm, AirAsia X, has also announced new upcoming routes from KL to Tokyo and Sapporo with special launch promotions. Starting today, travellers can purchase one-way direct flight tickets that start from RM599 for economy and RM2,599 for a premium flatbed. The travel period for Tokyo is from 21 November 2022 to 24 March 2023 while travel dates to Sapporo are from 1 December 2022 to 1 February 2023. The airline also announced a direct route from KL to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, which will operate six flights per week starting from 14 November. The flight will cost RM1799 for economy seats while premium flatbeds will set you back RM2999, with a travel period between 14 November 2022 to 25 March 2023. (Source: AirAsia)
