This resolution is up from the 2880 x 1080 display found on Apple’s current 15-inch MacBook Pro. Further, the targeted manufacturing date for the 16-inch MacBook Pro is reportedly set for September 2019 with a production rate of 250000. More importantly, the display panel will be LCD instead of OLED, and manufactured by LG. Beyond that, sources don’t indicate what sort of hardware the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be rocking. However, given Apple’s trend, the notebook could very well end up using Intel’s latest 9th generation H-Series CPUs, a hefty amount of DDR4 RAM (we’re looking at 16GB bare minimum). And most likely a Radeon discrete GPU, courtesy of AMD.
Whatever the hardware, one thing that is certain is that the new MacBook Pro will be running Apple’s latest MacOS Catalina. Considering that the supposed production date falls in line with the launch of its new OS. On a side note, it looks like Apple will be releasing a new 13-inch MacBook Pro will be getting a 32GB RAM option. Additionally, its new MacBook Air will also be getting a minor spec bump around the same time as the 16-inch MacBook Pro, although it’s still unclear as to what exactly will be refreshed.
